Pictures...as promised!

So, just like I promised last time, I have some pictures of our apartment for you all! We are so lucky to call this place home! These are just a few, because we are hosting an Airman's spouse for a few days, and therefore could not get a decent picture of our living room! So here they are!
YAY! I was so excited when I opened the fridge, yes the fridge, on Valentine's Day and found this!
Chris knew exactly what to get me! I absolutely love the Willow Tree figurines, and it makes me so happy to see this everyday.
These are the picture frames we made for Super Sat! So happy with how mine turned out!
Chris was adamant on having a jar of shells! He's so funny sometimes!
Here is our tiny kitchen! Nothing much to talk about here!

Love this!

The dining room table that we never use!
On top of our book shelf

Wall hangings I made for our living room! So easy to do, and so cheap!
And this is the Wildes Wall! I'm hoping to find more W's around, so far I've only been able to find these three!

Well, that's our apartment...or at least that's all you'll get to see of it for now! Hope you enjoy!

A few months mean A LOT of changes!!

So, I am horrible at blogging, obviously! But I am going to be a changed woman, I'm dedicated! I am setting a goal for myself to update at least twice a month! I want us to have a safe place for our memories and pictures, and for our story. So here is an update from the last few months!

First off, Chris graduated from BMT (Basic Militay Training)!! WOO HOO! I went to his graduation, and it was without a doubt, some of the happiest moments of my life. It's a hard thing to not see your best friend, to not talk to them, and to not hear them laugh for such a long time. He makes me so happy, and I feel so blessed to have found him, and to be able to share my life with him. He makes me so proud.
This is Chris during the Airman's Run. It was the first time I'd seen him in over two months!
Right after the Coin Ceremony. The first alone time we got, sitting in the car in a parking lot. It was perfect.
Right after the actual graduation. I LOVE my American Airman!
And here we are, husband and wife, together again!

So after Grad, Chris was sent to Mississippi for his technical training, aka his job training. He is in school at Keesler AFB. I moved to MS right before Thanksgiving, with the help of my wonderful mother. We have a really nice apartment about 10 miles from base, where we have celebrated our first Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and Valentine's Day as a married couple! We have really grown to love it here. It was something that we never expected, but it's been great. We have made friends that were also an unexpected blessing. The friends we've made here are all wonderful examples to us, and I think that the military has worked in our benefit in forming these bonds. In the short time we've known them, I already know that they are going to be our lifelong friends, and we are so blessed to have them in our lives.
Here is our home! We are on the third floor!
On our way to a Thanksgiving dinner with the church branch on base.
Here is our first Christmas Tree!

Originally when Chris got his orders, we were going to be stationed in Nebraska. NEBRASKA?! I know, I couldn't believe it either. So we traded with someone who wanted NE, and we were going to go to Ohio. We were both really excited about going to Ohio, and getting to experience all of the church history, and the different climate and culture. Notice I said 'were'. We are now going to be stationed in LA. And I mean cajun country, not bright, sunny, smoggy Los Angelos. Going to Louisiana is going to be the start of a new journey and adventure for us, and even if we aren't happy about it now, and by 'we' I mean 'I', I need to keep in mind that we are going to be sent there for a reason. I know that we will be able to make the best of the situation, just like we did when we moved to MS. And I know that as long as I've got Chris by my side that all will be well.

Well, I'm afraid that that's all for now. I've got to clean up the apartment and run some errands before Chris comes home. Next post: pictures of our new home!

5 more days...

until I get to see CHRIS!! I'm so excited! I'm pumped up and ready to go!
I am in Valdosta visiting my very best friends in the world, Leisha and Jon, to celebrate Halloween and it was supposed to be only a stop on my way to Texas, but as it turns out, I've got to go back to Cartersville to pick up some stuff for Chris that I didn't know he needed, but oh well! As long as I get to see him soon I'm OK!
The fall is such a beautiful season, and I've got a bunch of gorgeous pictures!  There are pics of myself at the park, some pretty trees, myself in my costumes for our church activities, and Leisha and Jon. So here you are...

It's been a while...

And everything is topsy turvy! Chris graduates from Basic Training next Thursday and I'm heading out for a road trip on Tuesday to go and see him! His parents are the only other people that will be there, and they are only staying for a day, so Chris and I will have the whole weekend to ourselves! WOO HOO! And then I'm leaving that Monday to come back home D: I know I'll be sad to come home, but I think it will be so much better having seen him, and getting to talk to him on a daily basis, instead of hardly getting to hear from him at all like it is now. It really stinks, and I really feel alone at times, but I know that this will be a blessing to us in the future. I know that we're made for each other, and that there could never be any two more perfect for each other...

No pictures but...

I finally got to talk to Chris! Since I missed that last call, my phone has not left my side, and it finally paid off!! He called last night while I was in Biology. I got to talk to him for about 15 minutes. Unfortunately, what he had to say was not as exciting. He's got Bronchitis, and they say it is turning into Pneumonia. He said they only give each person ONE MINUTE to eat their entire meal, and that they all get treated like dogs D; How depressing is that? He also said that church is really impersonal. He said that after being treated like a robot all week long he wants to be able to feel the personal message that church should bring. But he also said that he reads and prays constantly, and that is what gets him through. And getting letters from home. He says he's made one really good friend that he can lean on, so that's great. And more good news...he gets to call again THIS Saturday, as in TOMORROW!! YEAH! I'm so excited.

Still no new pictures, but just had to share the good news!

My Rainy Life...

At least that's how it seems. It has rained almost every day since Chris left(except today, oddly enough) and it has been a direct reflection of my mood. I'm not exactly happy when he's away, and not being able to talk to him makes it even worse! I have been getting my hopes up lately that a letter has been on its way, but I have yet to get one. I got something yesterday that he'd sent, but it was only information on his graduation and plane tickets. I was so disapointed! And I really got my hopes up today(i think it had something to do with the sunshine...)that I would have a letter waiting for me in the mailbox, but alas there was only a 'Kids Eat Free' coupon for Cici's Pizza. And it's incredibly depressing to talk about, but Chris got to call home on Sunday night, but my phone was on vibrate and I missed the call. Well actually I missed all 3 calls. He had 3 chances to call and I missed them all! It was absolutely depressing and I cried for hours. And the weather has only added to it. The rain has been unforgiving, and I've mainly stayed indoors. Ont he upside, the school was flooded(temporarily) so I did get to miss a few classes.
According to the information that Chris sent me, his graduation and the events that go with it are scheduled for November 5th through the 8th. I've been keeping a kind countdown in my head, and it's only about 44 days until I get to see him again. That's not entirely comforting, but I guess it's better than 45 days, and it sounds better than when I say it's 6 weeks! I keep writing to him. I usually write once, sometimes twice a day. I can not wait until I get to see him again!!!
I guess that's all for now. I don't really have any new pictures to post, so maybe next time!!

But enough with wedding pictures!
Chris is in Lackland AFB, TX for basic training for the Air Force. He signed up in April and left this past Monday for 2 months! And then after he is finished we will be moving out to Texas. First we will be in San Antonio for 2 months and then we will be moving to Witchita Falls for the next 6 or 7 months I think! But I am so excited to be starting this new chapter in our lives where we are on our own, working and getting things done to support ourselves and live a happy and full life!
That's all I'm going to post for now, it's late! But I promise they will be more frequent than they have been!
